Diocese of Novaliches Office of Exorcism (Libera Nox) chief exorcist Fr. Ambrosio Nonato Legaspi has made the statement during a recent interview, reported CBCP News. According to Fr. Legaspi, the alleged evil rosary beads and Masonic medals are being given away for free on the streets. These satanic rosaries are allegedly imbued with evil energy to spread evil spirits.

Fr. Legaspi came to this conclusion after he performed an exorcism. The Filipino priest was said to have noticed that the person who had been exorcised was using rosary beads that featured occult symbols. The “Satanic” rosaries are made with plastic with symbols such as a serpent around a cross, a pentagram, or sun with rays.

Is there really such thing as a “Satanic” rosary? According to a Gnostic Warrior, the serpent had long been worshiped by many cultures all around the world. “To these ancient people, the serpent had signified wisdom, intelligence, life and rebirth. In a sense, the symbol of the serpent represented Gnosis in the highest sense, which would equate to human godlike status and the equivalent of a Christ or the messiah. However, to modern Christians, the serpent is the devil incarnated and the followers of this ancient wisdom are called Demons.”

Even Church of Satan strongly refuted the claims. In a tweet, the said religious organization dedicated to Satanism asked to stop trying to scare into submission.
In addition, the symbol of the serpent comes from the bible. In the gospel of John, Jesus likened Himself to the serpent that was lifted up in the desert in the Old Testament when He was speaking to Nicodemus. More on this story here.

Meanwhile, several netizens simply shrugged the warning about the “Satanic” rosary.
