Simple Life Hacks That’ll Reduce Wait Time at Fast Food Queue Lines

Why do people hate long wait and hold times? When a customer walks in and sees a long queue of people waiting for their orders to be taken, you might be inclined to take a step back and turn away even if you are starving so bad. It is not really the length of the wait time but it is more of the boredom that people feel when they stand in line.

Have you ever been stuck at a long queue of customers just to satisfy your craving for Jollibee Chickenjoy, but it took you more than 20 minutes to reach the counter? Frustrating, right? Well, don’t fret because there are simple life hacks that will make your trip to your favorite fast food restaurant quicker and pain-free. Here’s how.

1. The best time to avoid queues for any restaurant is to get there right when it opens. Make sure the restaurant doesn’t have any promotion going on or else you will get mobbed by large crowd, pretty much like what happened when Zark’s Burgers decided to run an 8-peso burger deal causing chaos and pandemonium at the mall.
2. Stand in line with the fewest customers. Easy decision but you have to take some things into consideration. If you will pick the shortest line, make sure that this queue does not have those people who are placing bulk orders or those people that carry Senior Citizen cards with them. We all know that processing discount for a Senior Citizen card may take a while.
3. Pick the most efficient and friendliest person behind the counter. Another factor why queues at a restaurant build up is the person behind the counter. Ineffective or disinterested sales clerks contribute to slow service so try to avoid them.
4. Have someone place an advance order for you. In most fast food restaurants, you can ask someone to place an advance order for your so when you reach the counter, your food will be ready.
5. Get your order ready. Decide on the food that you will order so you don’t need to think about it when you reach the counter. If you want to avoid long queues, do your part by preparing your order in advance.

If you want to avoid the wait time altogether, you can opt for delivery instead. There is nothing more comfortable than waiting for your food to be delivered right at your doorstep.
