Pinoy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn’t love a bite of chewy chocolate chip cookie. Here's a chocolate chip cookie recipe that you can try baking at home. The ingredients are simple and very easy to find at your local supermarket. 


What is great about baking your own chocolate chip cookies is that there are endless variations that you can try because you just can never go wrong with making your own chocolate chip cookies. You can tweak this recipe based to your liking.


INGREDIENTS:

1 cup cold butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cake flour
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 
1 tsp cornstarch
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips (semi sweet chocolate chips)
1 cups chopped walnuts

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 410°F (210°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together cold cubed butter, two sugars for at least  4 minutes.
3. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well.
4. Whisk in the dry ingredients - flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Avoid overmixing. Mix just until well-combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
6. Scoop one tablespoon of cookie dough on to a baking pan with lightly colored parchment paper.
7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
