Do Celebrities Use The Products They Endorse?

The smartest thing that a brand can do to gain customers and earn money is to get celebrity or a popular public figure to endorse their product. It is really a clever but not a new idea in marketing. We all know that the masses adore celebrities. It is really a simply logic. When people see their favorite celebrities promoting a product, then they are prompted to try those endorsements, but it makes your wonder. Do celebrities really use the products they endorse?

Let’s talk about Kathryn Bernardo’s Rexona commercial. She made it look in the pinoy TV commercial like she was really using it, but here’s a question: Did you really think she put a dab of Rexona on her underarm? Don’t get us wrong. We have nothing against Kathryn. She is a charming girl. It just seemed a bit deceiving to have her appear like she was really using the product even though she really didn’t do it.

How about Jennilyn Mercado’s CDO recipes. She is very pretty and even sings well. What’ll make you adore her more is the fact that she has cooking skills, which she shares in GMA Network’s “Sarap with Family” and ”Everyday Sarap with CDO.” However, it is quite noticeable how she barely tastes the recipes that she cook, at least most of them. Here’s another question: Do you really think Jennilyn will use CDO products for a good hot meal for lunch or dinner?

Getting a popular celebrity to endorse a product is really a great way to sell and gain customers. It is definitely a win-win situation, but only for the company and the celebrity. The company gets more customers and the celebrity goes home with a huge paycheck.

Whether or not celebrities actually use the products they seemingly endorse is really irrelevant. Whether they use the shampoo, deodorant, or anything else is immaterial. There is a high probability that they really don’t use them. Sure, there is also a chance that celebrities might actually love the product they endorse. In the end, what matter is that you trust your own judgment and not rely on the advertisements (false or not) by popular celebrity or public figures. They are simply getting paid a ton of sh*t to endorse products.
