Globe Bill Protect 2017: How to Get Adjustment in your Internet Bill

For those of you who don’t know, Globe launched its Bill Protect feature on July 31. Apparently, not everyone was informed about the Globe Bill Protect feature. Subcribers were surprised to find out that their bill had additional charges amounting to Php 1500.00.

Speaking to Globe representatives, we found out that the new Globe Bill Protect feature allows the subscriber to exceed the plan and cap the additional charges to maximum of Php 1500.00, no matter how much actual amount is consumed. For example, if you have the Globe Tattoo LTE Plan 999 and you have exceeded the plan, you will be automatically billed an additional Php 1500.00. There is one catch for Globe Internet subscribers and that is slow browsing speed if the monthly data cap exceeded. Sucks, right?

This feature is applicable to all Globe Mobile Plans. Another example is that if a Globe subscriber signed up for GoSurf99 with 100MB for 30 days at Php 99.00, he or she will be charged an additional Php 1500.00 if more than the allocated 100MB limit is consumed. If the excess bill is more than Php 1500.00, there wouldn’t be any more charges because it is capped at that amount.

It is a good feature in a way that every subscriber would not be billed unreasonably high on pay-per-use usage. However, a subscriber might get pissed to find out that his or her bill has an additional Php 1500.00 because not everyone is notified about the new feature. You have to turn on the mobile Internet alerts if you want know if you have already consumed that 100% of your data allocation.

So what happens if you find out your bill has skyrocketed from the usual bill that you are accustomed to paying?

Don’t fret. Globe is pretty considerate for loyal customers or in short, those who have good billing record. If you want to get your bill adjusted, don’t hesitate to call the customer service and tell them your concern. In most cases, they offer adjustments if you are unaware when the Globe Bill protect feature has been implemented. As a result, you will get the bill slashed by the amenable amount.
